From the Club Manager August 2017

There is not much to report this month. People are getting out on the water—which is the whole point! We have had 25 to 30 boats out on Tuesdays, 8 to 16 kids out on Wednesdays and Sunday afternoons, 6-8 Lidos and Lasers on Wednesdays, and about 40 boats out on Thursdays racing. And the beach has been busy every hot day. Thank you to all of you who have taken out guests for a sail—it is all good.

Some schedule reminders:  This Saturday has two important events.  First is the Wave Attenuator Meeting at 9:00 am in the clubhouse. This is really important, so please come to listen and to share your thoughts. Later in the afternoon is the Jim Skeen Youth UnRegatta which is loads of fun.  The Harvest Regatta is in September this year, on September 16 -17. Hopefully all you racers can make that.

Work Party billing will be going out soon. The Work Party Year is from August 1 to July 31. All of you who didn't get in all your hours will be paying. My tallying is fairly accurate, but if you have questions or concerns about your bill, let me know.

There will not be a Work Party in August, but we are now in the process of ordering the parts for the new D Dock. This project of dismantling and rebuilding D Dock will give plenty of opportunity for work party hours later this fall and winter. But that is far, far away from right now. Right now it's time to go sail! Go sail now!
