From the Club Manager April 2021

Spring is here! Time to get those sleepy boats into the water and to come out for the Work Party this Saturday, April 17, to spruce up the club. We have scheduled perfect weather to work in and hope to accomplish lots of good work. Several boats are already in and folks have been sailing.

The club is open for all the fun boating stuff we do as individuals and as household bubbles. We are not doing any social events yet because of the virus, but we are hopeful that things will improve dramatically over the next couple of months. The Board is closely following state and local regulations regarding social activities. Get those shots! And wear masks, socially distance, and wash your hands often.

The clubhouse also is now open. But again, only one person or household bubble at a time. We have spray sanitizer in the clubhouse and restrooms—don't be afraid to use it on the things you touch. That's what's it's there for!

The water is a little low, but one of the advantages at EYC is that we have a deep ramp and we have deep water under most of the slips. The Commodore is working on the water level and I am hopeful that he will figure it out.

Billing for moorage went out about April first. If you have any questions, please let me know.
The Youth Program is making plans for the summer. If you want to be put on that email list, please let Janell Skeen or me know.

And finally, let me remind everyone that the latest information on events are on the club calendar on the website. This year the virus has us putting everything in pencil. Most stuff has been moved once already, so just keep checking, cross your fingers, and get those shots.
