Club Manager Update September 2023

From the Poop Deck:

With the summer winding down, I would like to take this time to say thankyou to all the club members for the efforts exserted throughout the year. The increase in activity and participation shown weekly has made the thought of the pandemics’ effect on celebrations and activities seam trivial. We will be preparing for the sailing season closure this next month. I encourage members to consider knocking out a few work party hours in the helping and winterizing during the later part of October.

The Board of Directors and the budget committee have met, It is important that your voices be heard and your votes counted at the Annual Meeting the last Saturday in October. You will be seeing suggested bylaw changes published for your voting in the next several weeks.

As a matter of housekeeping:

  • Please remember that any boat, trailer brought on to the grounds must be cleared with the Port Captain per our handbook.

  • All boats on the grounds must have current registration or be removed from the Club. If you are choosing not to register your boat, you should choose to store it elsewhere.

  • If you are new to the club or have a new boat or trailer, please remember that your name or Oregon boat numbers must be displayed on the tongue of the trailer.

  • If you wish others to be courteous of your boat/trailer, please be courteous by following the rules and guideline of the Club as stated in your handbook.

  • If you have a RV on the grounds, please remember that the power to the trailers will be shut off November. First. you may wish to winterize your RV prior to or shortly after that date.
