Club Manager Report February 2024

Hello EYC!

This has been an exciting month at the clubhouse! The ice storm wreaked its havoc and 2 pipes burst, our propane went out, and one of our black locusts became uprooted. The pipes and propane have been fixed, but we are still gathering estimates for the tree. From the estimates already gathered, it sounds like it will need to come down. Please stay away from that area until it has been properly remedied.

The summer youth program is moving along and we have 2 instructors that we are working on finalizing. We are also looking for a volunteer each week to assist. If you are interested in helping make these classes a success, please contact me at clubmanager@eugeneyachtclub.org

It was great to meet people at the Chili feed and the Commodores Celebration! If I have not met you yet (or you just want to stop in for a chat) feel free to do so Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday between 10am-2pm at the clubhouse. I am also here other times, it just depends on what needs done for the week. Feel free to call and check that I am in before coming down (541)321-0332.

There have been some new changes with my position being moved to full time as well as the old storage room turning into an office. The new office is no longer available for storage or meetings. The youth building is a great place for smaller meetings and the clubhouse is great for larger meetings. The lockers are great for storage. Lastly, the club host position reports directly to me, if you have any requests, comments, complaints, or even praise for our club host please direct all of that to me. This will be very important for evaluations, monitoring, and making sure the club host can focus on doing their job right.
