Port Captain Report July 2019

Here we are at the last month that this year’s work party hours can be performed for 2019. There are a couple of projects that need to be done. Please contact Paul Stephens or Marji Clune for the list. Also remember that you need to keep the grass under control (mowed) under your boat/trailer. With the dry weather that we are having after the rains and projected into the future we need to be proactive about the long grass and weeds.

If you are using someone else’s slip, remember to contact that person before mooring your boat. There are several slips on E Dock that can be used, but if the slip has mooring line, someone is all ready using that slip. I know that this is an obvious statement, but it is just a reminder.

If you need to call me, call me at my office (541-344-1353). I check messages everyday at work and I have the moorage software there, too. You can also use my cell phone (541-913-3400), but I might not be in the office and not able to help immediately. Please don’t use my home number (541-688-8397) as it’s main use if to filter telemarketers and most of the time it goes unanswered or even checked.

As some have noticed and as I stated in last month’s Bulletin, we are finally getting the docks renumbered to a normal system (that is, like most other marinas). I have the new numbers that will be posted on the board but do not have the reprint of the moorage map to reflect the current numbering system. The online moorage is being updated. The posted moorage at the Yot Pot is up-to-date as of July 4th if you wish to look up moorage information. Or you can email me.

Happy Sailing! Hope to see you at the club.
