EYC brings members together for off-the-water fun, too. At the end of each month, there's a potluck and membership meeting. And there are some special events throughout the year for members and their guests to enjoy.

Deck Party

The Deck Party kicks off the social season. This evening includes dinner and all kinds of entertainment, from a presentation of a member's off-shore racing adventure to a Gilligan's Island theme and plenty of variation in between.

Fourth of July

Fourth of July is something special at EYC. It's a great day for families, with a parade around the grounds, games on the lawn, and a good old-fashioned barbecue.

Concert by the Lake

Each August, EYC puts on a concert on the lawn. Members bring their own picnic and some friends, spread a blanket, and spend an evening enjoying a live concert by the lake.

Commodore's Ball

The social season officially ends with the Commodore's Ball where we gather to honor the work of the commodore and recognize the achievement of members throughout the year by awarding club trophies.

Other events

Because EYC is a member-run organization, we rely on our members to plan social events. When someone gets an idea for a fun party, they run with with it! Members have enjoyed holiday socials, a Halloween murder mystery party, and a fundraising regatta for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to mention just a few. We welcome new ideas for ways to play together!
